The Women’s Group at the Haringey Chinese Community centre attended workshops over the course of a year. As an artist, I facilitated their workshops. The women developed their creative skills in mono-printing and collage to create personal and collective artworks that explored themes of sisterhood, identity and belonging. These workshops were delivered in a bilingual mix Cantonese and English where making and language learning were done side by side. The artworks capture their migratory aspirations and their support network as a sisterhood.
