My mum was the one that was good at hoarding. My mum had a white wedding and she also got married in a cheongsam (traditional dress), I still got it. She was terrible for hoarding anything cute or miniature. She would go into Chinese shops and buy those little scented fans and we still got them. All of that. She was all into all that. You know, the little Chinese jackets, she had reversible ones, then she had these really beautiful ones that were really fancy and thin with rabbit fur.
I got a reversible one that was hers and a little one was mine as a child, that's why I still got mine. I use to wear them in Hong Kong and in the UK. My mum made us wear it here to keep warm around the house. It's in good condition, for years it was sealed. It hung there for a long time. I tried to get my son to wear it and then he stopped.
She had so many Chinese jackets but in various forms. I think we probably got about six left while others got old and trashed. You can't chuck them because she's died, now you can't throw them away.

我媽媽曾經很喜歡蒐集小玩意。她穿白色婚紗結過一次婚，還穿旗袍結過一次婚。我還留著這件旗袍。只要是東西看著可愛，她都喜歡收集。她會到華人商店買帶香味的紙扇。這些東西現在都還留著。她很喜歡收集這些東西。
那件小棉襖可以正反兩面穿。她還有幾件非常漂亮，兔毛做的昂貴棉襖。
我有一件我媽媽的正反兩穿的棉襖和一件我保留的小時候穿的棉襖。我以前在香港和英國都穿過。到了這兒，我媽媽強迫我們在家穿著它保暖。它保存得很好，好多年都沒有拿出來過。在那兒掛了好久。我要我的兒子穿，後來他也不穿了。
我媽媽有各式各樣的棉襖。我們還留了6件，其他的都丟了。因為我媽媽已經過世了，這些棉襖也不捨得丟了。
